What We Collect
We may collect the following categories of personal data:
- Order and account data (name, email, phone, delivery address)
- Payment data (processed by Stripe and Airwallex — we never store full card numbers)
- Subscription billing schedules (SUMO Subscriptions)
- Order history and delivery records
- Messages you send us (contact form, email)
- Basic technical data (IP address, device and browser information) collected by our hosting (Kinsta) and CDN/security provider (Cloudflare)
Why We Collect It
To fulfil and deliver orders, process payments and subscription renewals, provide customer support, meet accounting and legal obligations, prevent fraud, and — only with your consent — send the newsletter you subscribed to. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for purposes unrelated to the ones above.
Who Receives It
Payment processors (Stripe, Airwallex), delivery partners for shipping labels, our hosting and email providers, and our supplier where needed to fulfil an order. Each receives only what its role requires.
How Long We Keep It
Order records for 7 years (tax/accounting); account data until you ask us to delete your account; newsletter data until you unsubscribe.
Your Rights Under the PDPO
You may request access to and correction of your personal data (data access request / data correction request), and opt out of marketing at any time. Write to support@ginseng.hk; we respond within 40 days as required by the Ordinance.
Cookies
We use necessary cookies for cart and login functionality, and Cloudflare security cookies. The site functions without marketing cookies. We also use Google Analytics to collect anonymous usage statistics (such as page views) to help us improve the site; these analytics cookies are not used for advertising.
